There are 4 main ways to add citations to your EndNote Library:
Each database citation export is different. Information on exporting from Argonne frequently used databases can be found under the name of the databse tab to the left of your screen. This page includes information on how to manually add citations.
Creating a new library in EndNote is quite easy. Select File, New, then select where you want to save your library. Make sure you will be able to easily find the library, such as a file in Box. Then name your new library.
You should always create a new library for each set of citations you work with in EndNote. For this example, I created a new library "New Test Library." You should use a file name that works best for you.
Citations can be manually added to EndNote. To add a new citation, click the New Reference icon at the top of the EndNote Library.
Next, select the type of reference you will add (journal article, book, etc.).
After entering reference information, click the citation box X (NOT the EndNote Library box).
Click Yes when asked if you want to save changes.
