Most researchers already have a system in place for managing data during the active phase of a research project. Data may be stored on local servers, copies made to the cloud, with data backups regularly scheduled to protect against loss. To meet the DOE requirement to share data upon publication, data storage is taken to the next level of long term archiving and preservation. Sharing data by publishing it to a repository or archive will assure the data is citable, accessible, discoverable and protected for the long term. Consider these options when deciding where your shared data will be archived.
The Library may be able to store your data in Box. Please contact the Argonne Library for further information.
